Bottle shared at CBJ - picked up in London. Pours clear orange-gold with a creamy, off-white head. Light sweet flavour, well oxidised, a little watery caramel, brown bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, little cardboard, caramel. So so. A little past its prime.

Bottleshare at CBJ. Thanks to LKS. Clear amber beer, a few lonely tan bubbles. Light smooth malts, mildly dry, surprisingly there is some fine carbonation. Papery watery caramel malts. A little ripe fruits. Light semi dry finish. Don't hate this at all but it's historical interest only.

Bottled. Deep ambery copper colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is nutty, some slight floral and fruity notes with a bit sweet wooden notes. Flavour is nutty, some floral, grassy, herbal and mild wooden and sweet malty notes. Nutty and quite sweet aftertaste. A bit more bitterlike than really brown ale, but still pleasant to drink.

Bottled. Hazy deep amber colour with a creamy, off-white head which leaves some lace. Nutty, wooden, some sweet toffeeish malts in the aroma. Flavour is quite similar, but also has a slight herbal and grassy touch to it. A bit metallic notes as well as it gets warmer.

9th March 2022. Mini-tasting with minutemat at my place. 275ml bottle, given to me by my brother-in-law some 10 years ago and since then been kept in the dark and forgotten about. BBD end of April 1995. I opened this with trepidation and was pleasantly surprised how drinkable it was, the aroma was of a Barley Wine and the taste was pretty sweet, not like an IPA at all. It was also clear body wise, but no real head. Glad I found it!

275ml bottle - a 1995 relic found at the very bottom of blackhaddocks dusty beer cupboard. Pours a clear varnished mahogany, sparse bubbles atop. No longer IPA in feel, very light bodied, barley wine comes to mind, but an exceptionally light and watery one. No cobwebs, or other bad aging flavours. Surprisingly drinkable. Rated kindly.

500ml can. Bb of Nov 2012, so guessing someone else is brewing this now, not that it matters. Pours gold with a medium head. Aroma is corn, fruit salad sweets and a touch of lime. Taste is mild tropical fruits with some corn. Not that bad to be fair.
