Description
Love Lane Brewing is based in the heart of Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, voted the “coolest” district in the UK. We’re keeping the city’s proud brewing heritage alive, with a new brewery and distillery.

In 2016, we began the transformation of our Liverpool base, renovating an old rubber factory into a 18,000 hectolitre Brewery, capable of brewing 3.2 million pints. Our family of beers and gins are all made under one roof.

Liverpool Craft was founded in 2011. Liverpool Craft bought in the Higsons Brewery name in 2018 at he same time the brewery changed name to Love Lane Brewery. Brewing started at the current venue in 2019. Cask beers are produced using the Higson's name, keg beers using Love Lane.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden amber with a thin head. Nose - certainly hops in there, some grapefruit with a slight soapiness. Taste - less exciting, still decent citrus going on. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - smells better than it tastes.

Keg, third pint at Ship and Mitre. Filmy layer over a hazy golden body. Spotty lacing at the upper part of the glass. Herbal hops on the nose with a touch of citrus. Fresh fruity flavours including mandarin, orange and lemon. Fruit bitter ending. Super refreshing with splendid drinkability (Liverpool 31.01.2015).

Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, creamy toffee, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy, hoppy and bitter. A tasty hoppy pale ale.

Lightly hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is airy, semi dry and crisp. Light dry pale malts, touch of dust. Mild orangey hops ensue before a dry finish. A bit tame and a bit dry but okay.
