Since 1926, brewing has no longer been a matter of chance at Bénifontaine, but rather is an art which has been passed down from generation to generation. From microbrewery to family business, Castelain Brewery has had a loyal following thanks to its artisanal beers and its respect for tradition. Thoroughness, patience, authenticity: these have been the key words for Castelain bières de garde and seasonal beers since the creation of the brewery.

25cl bottle, gift from Eric. Thanks Eric. Misty yellow, small white head. Mild ginger aroma, taste is quite thin and watery with very faint glimpses of lemon and ginger. Doesn't feel like a beer whatsoever, more like flavoured still water.

Flesje gekocht tijdens vakantie in Frankrijk. Helder geel-bruinig bier met een volle witte schuimkraag die als een film blijft liggen. Aroma is fruitig van mandarijn, sinaasappel en frisse appels en verder wat moutig. De smaak is zoet, fruitig en moutig. De nasmaak is ietwat bitter maar trekt best snel weg.
