Description

Small, fast gone beige head; opaque redbrown beer. Sweet, lightly roasted, dark candi sugar. I can smell the raisins, the jenever remaining hidden in the nose. Not really sweet in the taste, dryish, bit woody, and definitely spirit. Bit of liquorice. Flavour as from dried plums, some chocolate, incense; Alcohowarming, medium bodied. Spritzy, but light carbonation. Not too sweet, good!

Amber colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have floral hop and full malty taste. Very full flavoured and moorish.

Bottle @ home shared with Inoven and Joes. Clear golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly sweet, a bit bitter. Well, I must admit I didn’t really pay enough attention but it’s a pretty useful tripel. Nice.

Aroma is fruitig. Smaak is zoet en fruitig. Weinig nasmaak.

Bottle @ home. Clear amber color, average sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, light distant hops but not too fresh it seems. Taste malts, again distant sweetish hops, moderately bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Hmm I liked their beers so far, the traditional styles are quite well done but this IPA is not very good.

Bottle @ home. Opaque dark brown to black color, average sized beige head that diminishes quickly. Smell and taste malts, a slight hint of liquorice, brown malts, hmm otherwise not that many flavors, perhaps there’s a distant hint of caramel and soft roast, but I don’t really get them. Decent to medium body and carbonation. Decent beer, but not a great dubbel. (Dutch: allemansvriend zou ik zeggen)

Bottle @ home. Clear yellow to pale golden color, small to average sized off-white head. Aroma I find very hard to describe. Flavor is tough to describe too. Both are somewhat faint, but clearly present. Wheat, slightly sweet, pleasantly slight bitter finish. I find it hard to describe the aroma and flavor but I quite like it. Thankfully there’s not a bunch of herbs or spices randomly thrown into this. Very decent clean witbier imo.
