0.15 l on tap at the brewery. Hazy, dark reddish brown with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity, a little roasty aroma of caramel, raisins, chocolate, nuts and prunes. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity and a little roasty taste of caramel, nuts, chocolate, raisins and prunes, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little roasty finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid Dubbel, probably the best of the four beers I've tried.

0.15 l on tap at the brewery. Minimally hazy, amber with a white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity-floral aroma of lots of honey, orange peel and light vanilla. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral taste of honey, vanilla, apricot and light citrus, followed by a short, quite bitter, minimally yeasty finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Malty but solid Tripel.

0.15 l on tap at the brewery. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral, slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of vanilla, apricot and light banana. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity-grassy and quite yeasty taste of honey, vanilla, apricot, some grass and light citrus, followed by a short, quite bitter, rather yeasty finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent Blond, rather on the sweet side.

23 June 2021. At Slot Oostende, Goes. Shared with the lovely Anke! Clear dark golden, stable, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of apple peel, pear, plum, golden raisin, orange rind, vague mango. Taste has sweet apple & pear, plum, yeast, biscuity malty undercurrent with a bitter straw accent. Grassy hoppy finish, quite heavy on the apple (acetaldehyde effect), touch of straw. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Drinkable but feels like a watered-down IPA.

23 June 2021. At Slot Oostende, Goes. Shared with the lovely Anke! Clear golden, thin, foamy, white head. Aroma of old pear (oxidized?), apple peel, yeast, herbal cheese, sweaty feet, grain. Taste has sweet grain, apple & pear, dry yeast, bitter straw. Grassy hoppy finish, quite grainy & yeasty. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Too plain, grainy, nothing special.

Taste has sweetish apple, sourish wheat, some lemon, bready & cereally malt body. Grassy hoppy finish, wheat and subtle yellow fruit. Medium body, slick-watery texture, average carbonation. Too easy, not much taste.

23 June 2021. At Slot Oostende, Goes. Shared with the lovely Anke! Clear (?) brown, thin, tan head. Aroma of wet toast, pistachio, clove, old chocolate, raisin. Taste has sweetish fig & prune, sourish brambleberry, soft toasty & nutty maltiness. Herbal hoppy finish, liquorice, dried fruit, weirdly sourish. Medium to light body, slick texture, average carbonation. Way too thin on the palate and in malty profile, just weird, and lacking in the promised ingredients.

Taste has sweet fig & raisin over toffee maltiness, bit milk-chocolatey with a herbal & nutty edge. Herbal hoppy finish, dried fruit & caramel, softly warming liqueur alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Enjoyable Dubbel thanks to decent balance (more than in the Gouden Gans Tripel).

Aroma of triple sec (Grand Marnier), candied apricot, canned peach, nail polish remover (aceton), dried orange peel. Taste has sweet peach, apricot & banana, bit sugary, yeasty with clove-like phenols over a doughy malty base. Floral hoppy finish, sweet dried fruit, bit cloying, boozy triple sec-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Sweet Tripel but still drinkable.
