0.33 l bottle from ’Drankenservice Françoise’, 2016 version (best before February 2018) at 6.8% abv. Clear, golden yellow with a medium large, rather dense, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, fruity-floral and a little spicy, almost saison-like aroma of peach, fresh grass, lemon zest, hints of clove and gooseberry. Sweetish, fruity-floral and yeasty-spicy taste of lemon zest, gooseberry, clove, some grass and hints of banana, followed by a short, moderately-dry bitter, yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly spritzy and effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. This is far from being a bock, it resembles more a Blond/Saison-hybrid. Apart from that dogmatics, it is very refreshing, maybe not that intense though but quite tasty and well-balanced. Nice!

0.33 l bottle from ’Drankenservice Françoise’, best before January 2017. Clear, dark amber with a thin, soapy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Sweetish, fruity-resiny aroma of mango, marmelade, orange peel and pine. Sweetish, slightly fruity-resiny taste of mango, caramel, honey, marmelade, some pine and hints of plastic, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly resiny finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not very hoppy, a bit too thin, and also not really harmonic. Lacks in all respects.

Bottle at home, for sale at Hema. Murky orange, medium white head dissolved completely in less than a second. Sweet caramel malts, orangepeel, faint hint of strawberry, fibre board, fruity tartness, not very hoppy. Light sugary sweet, faint tartness. Pretty flat and watery taste. Thin body, light carbonation yet spikey on the tongue. Meh.

0.33 l bottle from ’Sterk Avondverkoop’, best before December 2016. Clear, red amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of raisins, prunes, currant, caramel and some wood. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity taste of raisins, prunes, caramel, marzipan and hints of wood, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly warming and minimally sourish finish. Medium body, slightly creamy to oily mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite tasty, but rather anaemic for a Quad. I really like the sourish touch though (although not sure if intended).

Sampled @ Pint Winterbierfestival Gouda, 2016. Clear dark orange color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish, slightly floral, slightly yeast. Hmm a bit hard to describe. Ok beer, but not very interesting imo.
