Two Chefs Brewing started in 2012 with the desire to completely stock our homes with home made funky beers and we haven’t stopped brewing since. We always aim to provoke the conventional and we like to stick out our tongue to the familiar.

Tap at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, sat in the cool air, by the canal, 10th December 24. Pours a black beer. Aroma is roasted malts, cocoa and chocolate. Taste is bitter, floral, roasted malts, smoke, cocoa. Good

A: clear golden, thin, white head.
A: melon, dank grape, onion, sweat, grapefruit peel.
T: sweetish melon & pineapple, bitter grapefruit, bread crust.
F: bitter piney hops, grapefruit, grape, onion.
P: medium body oily texture, average carbonation.
Characterful and bitter, very nice.

Pours an almost clear golden body and a frothy white head with a small layer retention. Aroma's: leafy hops, tea, light citrus, light sweet. Retronasal there's some resin, green hops, light bitterness, light sweetness. Flavour is light moderate bitter with some biscuit malty malty sweetness and a touch of fruity sourness. Medium bodied. Flavour lingers, becoming moderate bitter.

Clear brown beer, big fizzy beige head, crackling down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: a bit roasted, caramel, butterscotch, toffee, malty, grains, no cinnamon? WTF? Stroopwafel is more than just caramel... MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of caramel, a hint of chocolate, fudge, butterscotch, a little bitter but mainly pretty sweet. Aftertaste: soft roast, some chocolate, a bit sweet, malty, more caramel, bitter touch, meh. More a caramel / butterscotch stout than a stroopwafel stout if you ask me…
