A golden pils with a thick creamy white head. In aroma, nice crisp biscuit malt with grassy hops, light Saaz, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, crisp biscuit malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, OK.

This English ale poured a hazy amber colour with a creamy, tan coloured head. Nice lacing. Scents include caramel malts ,a smidgen of ripe fruit and a little tea. First swig was smooth and delicious. Flavours of malt, caramel and a little hop are predominant. Finish is medium bitter. Very nice pint!

Pours a hazy amber colour with a beige frothy head, good retention and some foamy lacing. At first, the smell was not quite good with the hops showing metallic and mild chemical notes. At the last pour though, this seems to change to a nicer fruity malt nose. The fruity malts do show in the flavours the whole time, with a nice light dry finish. Caramel undertone with hints of woods. A little too much hops for the style, but as a North American version - this is fine.

Caskat Ottawa Winter Brewfest. Disclaimer: This even used plastic cups, which may have prevented my ability to fully appreciate this beer. Cloudy amber. Fruity caramel aroma. Sweet medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and strawberries, pine and syrup. Resiny bitter finish.
