An unfiltered beer, 330ml bottle from Centra Colosseum in Oslo. Pale yellow-gold content with a slight haze. White lager head with slow recession. Smell of dry citric fruits. Sweet fruity taste including wheat, grass and a touch of mild honey. Tart ending. Flat in the mouth. To share one bottle with Finn was enough for me (Tromsø, 13.10.2011).

Bottle, at Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri. It’s and almost clear one, almost golden and with a finger-thick white head on top. The aroma has citrus, flower notes and grass notes as well as some pale malts. It’s quite fruity in the mouth, with pale malts as a backdrop and a decent bitterness. Nice bitterness in the finish. Medium body, dry, silky and a bit watery. Somehow this reminds me of a more fruity edition of the average Scandinavian pilsner, but of course quite a lot better. Surely on of the best Norwegian pilsners. 110823

0.33l bottle @ Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri, Oslo. Pours a unfiltered light honey yellow body with a small white lager-head. Aroma is light malty, sweet with notes of honey, some mild grass and that yeasty/melon aroma I often find from some to those micro brewers. Average to soft carbonation, light-bodied and has an light oily to watery mouthfeeling. Tastes quite OK. I guess pale malts and fruity yeast dominates the flavor here. Light drinkable, but not to exciting.

330ml bottle at Amundsen in Oslo. Good looking with its white-beige head and deep, rosewood body. Fragile laceworks, too. Bitter malty to the nose. Flavour was slightly roasted chocolate malts with dusty hops beneath. Notes of anise towards a rather short finish. Alright and paired well with my salty food, 27.04.2011.

330 ml bottle @ Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri. Deep red body with a diminishing off-white head. Mild aroma of light roasted malt and caramel. Flavor is soft and light malty, caramel, moderate roast and not much bitterness. Medium body. Quaffable and a bit plain, but quite OK actually.

Small white head. Slightly hazy yellow body. Light perfumy aroma with fruity notes. Dry-sweetish perfumy herbal floral taste with fruity mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel. Dry herbal floral aftertaste with perfumy grassy notes. It’s not bad. Light and drinkable, but not terribly refreshing. (0.33l bottle, Amundsen Bryggeri, Oslo.)

330 ml bottle, at Østkantfolk, Oslo. ABV was 4.7%. Golden colour, low head. Very pleasant aroma of European hops, notes of heather. Very fizzy mouthfeel. Standard pilsener flavour, nothing wrong with it, nothing very special. Maybe a hint of birch sap and honey. More bitterness and less carbonation would be desirable.

Small beige-brown head. Nearly opaque black body goes translucent red at edges. Roasty chocolatey aroma with milky earthy strawberry jam notes. Dry-sweetish earthy roasty dusty taste with chocolatey notes and faintly acidic tinge. Mid-to-thin body. Fizzy mouthfeel. Dry earthy roasty metallic aftertaste with musty, vinegary notes. Not bad, but seems faintly infected. Could use more hops. (0.2l taster, Øl & Mat ’09, Oslo.)

Tank at the brewery. It poured golden to copper-colored, clear, and with a dense, beige head. A nice blend of malt, caramel and hops in aroma and flavor. Medium body and a nice finish. The bottling machine was about to be mounted, and I hope they are finished with that work in the near future. Also looking forward to their stout, which is not yet brewed. (061118)
