Bomber; probably at least 3 years old. Aroma of light stone fruit (peach), with underlying candi sugar and light spice notes. Golden amber color with a white head that flattened and ringed. Medium in body, rather creamy in carbonation. The first flavor is clove; then very light caramel; then fleshy fruits; then a taste of wet paper. The alcohol affects the head, but not the palate. Sort of goes right through to the frontal lobes. Each sip seems a bit different. Number 3 seemed to have apricot. It’s light enough to be drinkable to excess, but heavy enough to kill one. This is a really, really good brew. Seems a bit amberish for a tripel, but maybe that’s what provides the fruitiness. Incredibly smooth. The finish is slightly sweet/sticky, but clean. Death by Brother David’s Triple; could compete with death by chocolate. So why all the death comments? Died and gone to heaven? Give me this on my death bed? Hey, it’s just really impressive.

Has a rather strong initial aroma, volatile sweet alcohol. Cloudy light brownish and orange color. Looks like apple cider. First taste is smooth but that rapidly degrades to a more alky palate. Building medicianl bitterness on the back and sides of the tongue. A strongish impression brew. Alky gets in your face as the session rolls on. You know this is a higher % brew from the flavors. Certainly is more bitter than most ESB I’ve tasted. The taste of this is an interesting evolution; from a mild first taste to a bitter offensive bite. Some creamy carbonation. Finish is impressionating, malty alky industrial bitterness hangs for a while after the last sip.

Bottle courtesy of SS: Poured a deep copper ale with a nice big foamy head with good retention. Aroma of bitter hops is well balance with some light caramel malt. Taste is a mix between caramel malt and some bitter hops. Body is above average with some good carbonation. I have to admit that this was a well made and very refreshing IPA but still taste quite similar to other staple of the style.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm) Copper colour with firm off-white head. Malty nose with sourish notes of wheat, milk chocolate, cocoa and fresh figs. Malty taste with chocolate and berries (cherries, blueberries). Not very bitter, balanced sweetness. Creamy mouthfeel with distinct notes of blueberries with milk in the finish. Good balance. A bit different, but quite nice beer.

Aroma of dark fruits and malts. Deep ruby color with a white head that filmed immediately. Medium bodied with very mild carbonation. The flavor starts with the sweetness of candi, follows with, dare I say it, prune (or at least really dark plum), and now some definite heat is present. Caramel pops up a bit. The finish is not really all that sweet, but there is not much to balance except for bits of yeasty spiciness.

Bomberfrom Bottle Barn! Nose of roastinesswith a coffee note; clear dark brown with a big tan, glass-lacing head; flavor has some coffee, chocolate, and a little pepperiness.

2006 12oz bottle pours out a clear dark amber topped with a off white head. Sweet syrup aroma. tast is also sweet along with a little chocolater tast. Pretty good. Thanks for the door beer. Jordan.

On tap at Flying Pie Boise, Pours out a clear amber topped with a great off white head. Very nice tast of light hops and malt. Also picked up a little sweeytness.

22 oz bomber; says Belk’s ESB on label and in picture; correction sent in; nose of grainy hay and light hops; Orange-gold with a medium off-white head; flavor of hop bitterness, caramel, with an apricot fruity note, getting more bitter as it warms; finish is light bitterness.

Bottle @ Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours a hazy amber color with a small white head. Malty aroma with some hoppy citrus hints. Sweet malty hoppy flavor with some hints of grapefruit. Dry malty finish with some hoppy hints.
