Probably the best American dubbel I hve had. Lots of malt in the aroma and flavor. Light fruit. On the sweet side, very well balanced. Dark brown color. They didn’t hold back on quality ingredients and took the time to do this right.

12 oz bottle. Clear reddish body with a dense, light-beige head. Aroma is malty with a hint of caramel. Very pleasant and harmonic flavor of malt, sweetness and a well balanced bitterness. Very nice but not extraordinary.

When I saw a bottle of this I had to try it. Oatmeal stout, got to be sweet and tasty, right up my alley. Sweet stouts are one of my favorite styles. 12 oz brown bottle with an inviting label. Has the ol’ seducing sweet stout aroma, roasty and peculiar. Pours very dark brown and opaque in my clear steeler stein, it is almost black. Very little head, just a tan ring around the edge of the glass. First taste is creamy and roasty with a little bit of burned campfire wood in the background. It’s not jus shy sluggin gorms neemer! The bitterness does continue to build as the drinks continue. I think I am becoming proficient in bootling, the slang of Boonville! Interesting and not too offensive, I find it to be a pretty decent brew. Just goes to show, everybody has their own style and everybody does not like the same style beer. Aroma of roastyness continues as you drink it, does not fade. This brew lacks any of the offensiveness of imperial stouts and is well behaved. I’d like to have another bottle of this so I can confirm the pleasantness of this beer. The only drawback I can find with this brew is the building bitterness on the finish. It is not quite as medicine as imperial stouts or IPA but it does let you know that you just consumed a malty or hoppy brew with its medium bitterness.

Draft at the Bistros DIPA Fest; Nose of citrus hops and some dark fruit; copper witha medium off-white head; flavor mostly hop bitterness with some fruit and caramel malt notes.

Smooth aroma of toasted malt and chocolate. Solid brown color with a milk chocolate head that laces a bit. Starts with a sweet toasted malt that moves to chocolate. Starts with a firm mouthfeel, but thins a bit. Coffee comes forth. The finish is toasted malt with a hint of bitter. Very smooth, very pleasant, very drinkable.

Bottled (as Boont ESB). Orange golden colour with longlasting white head. Aroma is hops, caramel and some kind of yeastyishness. Flavour is fruity and flowery hops mainly. The finish gets dominated by flowery hops and yeast. Wellbalanced, but at the same time a quite thin brew. Long grassy and yeasty aftertaste.

Bottled as "Boont ESB".
Pale amber color, good steady, creamy white head. Citrus, hops, pineapple in the nose. Citric, lemony, yeasty flavor. Very acidy hoppy, dry aftertaste lingering in the mouth.

Pours a nice golden orange with a white, fluffy, mid-sized head that lingers for a while. Aroma is big on citrus and hops. Also evergreen and slight hay. Flavor starts with hay and moves to full on hops, though it’s not as bitter as I had expected. Finish is bitter, though. Mouth is smooth, maybe a little under-carbonated. A solid IPA, but not outstanding. I would have liked a more complex flavor.

Tap - medium ruby hue, with, I swear, a hint of purple in it - semi-herbal aroma, with a thick, sweet maltiness - kind of light bodied for a winter warmer, and a little too sweet to enjoy - there is a strange taste of play dough through the middle, finishing with a somewhat medicinal taste - not very enjoyable.
