På Lekve Gard har det gjennom generasjonar vore drive fruktdyrking, og som ein av pionerane i utviklinga av moderne norsk sider, sette i 2004 Nils J. Lekve sin fyrste kommersielle siderdunk. Sideren var naturlegvis spontangjæra, slik tradisjonen har vore gjennom hundrevis av år i Hardanger, og i 2006 selde han si første flaske på Vinmonopolet. Det har ikkje stått på idéar og nyvinning på Lekve, i dag tel me vel 20 ulike spontangjæra sidrar, og eige brenneri for eplebrennevin og akevitt. Sommarsesongen kan du kome innom i gardsrestauranten på sidersmaking, og Gardsbutikken held ope heile året. No er det Eirik Lekve Eide, 6.generasjon, og Anna Oppedal Tokheim som skal drive tradisjonane vidare på Lekve.

Fra flaske hos produsenten, Fridtjofens Hardangertokt aug-20: klar rødgylden med perlende munnfølelse. Nydelig smak av Hardangerepler og-moreller. Fatlagringspreget er tydelig. Syrligfrisk og akkurat passe søt.

Can. Clear pale golden body with a nice white head that fades quickly. Mild apple aroma with sulphite. Taste is light and easy, some fruity sweetness and refreshing acidity. Apple flavor is mild and the sulphite is a bit too dominating. Not very complex. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes, Shared with Helga and Frau Eva. Missing head, no lacing, bright late straw coloured body. Modest, mid-sweet apples and apple skins on the nose. Mid-sweet and mid-tart apples to the taste profile, hints of grass. Drying ending, rather sweet in the long run. Accepted. (Tromsø 25.07.2020).

YG 180620. Red color with no head. Aroma is strawberries, apples. Flavor is strawberries, apple, sugar. Ordinary and a little bit weird.

330ml can from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Shared with Helga. A bright pale yellow body, a few bubbles on the surface, faint lacing. Vague aromas of apple skins. Mixed taste of mid-dry apples and hop-forward oranges. Ends rather sweet with an apple-fruit hoppy twist. Fair enough. (Tromsø 14.07.2020).

Bottle. Almost clear in the glass, light red in color, and still. Strawberry and apples in a strange but quite pleasant blend in the aroma. Feels sort of sweetish. Earthy notes, candy hints and some rhubarb-like scents. It's medium to full-bodied, sweet and with a soft carbonation. Strawberry and apple flavor, some orchard hints, candy and an earthy hint in the flavor too. Lasting strawberry focused finished. A weird one, but quite pleasant. Perhaps best chilled and with ice. 200618

Small fizzy shortlasting head, clear straw colored. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish fruity, apple peel, sorrel, sour apples, grass, hay, flowers, minerals, apple peel, hints of citrus. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish fruity, sour apples, sorrel, hay, apple peel, citrus, flowers, apple cores, grass, leafs. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Nice enough.

Nice bubbly shortlasting head, clear light reddish color. Aroma is slightly dry fruity, apple peel, hay, apple cores, grass, oak, flowers, minerals, cherry stones, hints of red berries and dusty vanilla. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish fruity, apple cores, hay, oak, grass, cherry stones, flowers, alcohol, sour apples, red berries, bark, tiny hints of dusty vanilla. Medium bitterness, slightly boozy and dry sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Fair enough, but not close to what I had hoped for...
