Draught at the brewpub... great, I figured it would be on the site, so I just had it down as "Hefe", but neither that nor "Sommerweisse" was its name. And there’s no mention of it online. Just great. Anyway, this poured a lovely misty apricot-orange body with a thick, slightly off white head. The nose is immediately promising, very pungent yet soft - cloves, light banana, very light lemony sourness. It’s sweet and very, very nice. And the taste... finally doesn’t disappoint - a nice sweetish clove assault ending with on a banana note before falling into dryness. Holy shit, surprisingly good and an even better surprise. this is... whoa. Thumbs up. Three even if needed.

Draught at the brewpub. This poured a lovely, superb misty amber-red body, with an off white-tan head. The nose is immediately a small letdown though. Soft & malty, with very light notes of hard candy. The taste is unfortunately as I expected it after that... empty. Somewhat sweet, soft. with very light soapy/herbal notes. Ordinary.

Draught at the brewpub. Poured a very dark red body, blackish, with a tan head. Soft raisiny malty nose, nice, some coffee in there too. light taste, light chicory that goes into the aftertaste. some ho-hum hoppy bitterness, but it doesn’t detract much. The maltiness is fine enough, soft, but it all ends dry. Far better than the helles at least.

Draught at the brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy, lovely golden body with an off white head. Pretty much no aroma, maybe some light huskiness? Hay & eggs? Crappy light beety taste. The mouthfeel is nice, mind you, but there’s not much to it overall and I’m quite sure that all four of us who were there considered it to be by far the worst of the bunch.

Draught at the brewpub. This poured an almost clear, slightly hazy lovely amber red body, with a lasting, off white-tan head. The nose is light and fruity, carrying notes of honeyish maltiness balanced with some very light orange peel. Taste-wise it’s a nice, sweet malty back, maybe slightly sugary or soapy, but generally not lacking (or excessive) in any category. Pretty much exactly what I expected from this when I saw it.
