(Cask at Craft Beer Clapham, London, 23 April 2016) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, vanilla and coffee. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, vanilla, creamy coffee, roasted nuts and a balanced cacao bitterness in the finish. Light body, with a certain sweetness. Possibly a bit thin, but tasty and well balanced with a creamy chocolate character. Nice one.

Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The aroma is rich, bitter - sweet, chocolate cake, liquorice, chewy malt, salted caramel and earth. The taste is bitter, peppery spice, salty, liquorice, earthy roast, toasted nuts, dark fruits, touch of ash & coffee grounds with a dry, toasted finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Aroma is quite nice, but it lacks a bit of body. Not bad.
