Bottle from Bon Marche, Paris. Malty, earthy, caramel aroma, with raisons and plums. Deep dark, amber-orange color with lace. Sweet dried fruits and caramel flavor. Nice but a bit too sweet. Earthy hops, prunes. Nice body, nice balance, tasty malts.

Wonderful appearance, dark ruby-amber body and solid reddish-beige head. Aroma is a complex mix of barley, malts, fruitiness, grains. Quite refined, much more than your usual French beers. The aroma starts as barley, with a middle of malts and finishes with a spicy alcohol finish. Extremely well blended and balanced - I’m impressed.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy nut brown, lively head. Caramelly nose. Sweet with medium body and spritzy, rounded mouthfeel. Flavours of toast and dough. Burnt salty finish with low bitterness.

Bottle, 7%. Bready and fruity aroma, a bit strange. Seemingly clear brown colour. Small white head. The flavour has an OK spicy hoppiness, a little sweetness, some caramel. Compact mouthfeel and high carbonation.

Corked half bottle

Dark amber color; big creamy head. It has a strong aroma of malt and caramel, mature; and candi sugar; a bit perfumy; similar to some English Barley Wine. It has a good body structure, with a sweet caramel flavor in the front, and a slightly more bitter caramel later; it has a correct bitterness and a balanced final. It’s a very good Strong Ale, mature, not exceptionally complex, but very solid.

Medium, very dense white head; very carbonated golden-copper beer. Toasted, grassy, greenmalts aroma’s; reeks unfermented, crude. Toasted, greenmalt, unfermented worts, "hopped" with freshly cut grass. Ouch. Light body, burning MF. Ever heard about lagering vessels? They transform worts to beer, given time...

Underrated. Pours with a smallish, frothy, off-white head. A dark, clear brown body. Some lacing and a thin layer of head retention. Aroma is nice with floral hops, melon, honey and a touch of alcohol. Taste is kind of thin, like a weak APA with a bit of caramel sweetness. Slight creamyness to the mouth with slightly fizzy carbonation.
