Orange golden beer with a small white head. Lemon and grapefruit dominates the aroma with notes of wood, leather and green meadow. Dry and tart, refreshing juicy flavour with a long lasting grapefruit peel tartness and bitterness. Exceptionally drinkable.

Beer #100. Orange colour. White head that disappears quickly. Apples and lemon in the aroma. Some barnyard aroma aswell. Very tart flavour. Some apple taste too. Dry and crisp finish. This is a great beer.

Bottle, St Albans Beer Festival 2005. Red/pink kriek with a pink head. Sour cherry nose, nice deop of malt and more really good sourness in mouth. Intense cherry on the nose and slightly creamy. Good kriek

Bottled - I was quite amazed that I saw a bottled version of Girardin’s faro, because untill recent you only could by it in a keg of 10 liters.
The beer itself has a very clear, deep amber body and a light brown, frothy head which diminishes mostly. A spare lace. The aroma has some hops (lightly citric) and malts in it. Lightly bitter, moderately sweet initial flavour and a lightly bitter, lightly sour finish. (This change of flavours from sweet-bitter to sour-bitter is remarkable.) Their lambic is also omnipresent in the flavour. This is a quite weird faro.

Bottle, RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting. My first faro. Clear brown colour, caramel and barnyard in the aroma. Flavour is sour and sweet, hints of Norwegian "Flux Soda" soft drink. Hints of dark crab meat(!) too.

(Bottle 25 cl) Fully golden and clear with a small, creamy head. Incredibly full-bodied for a pilsener with sweet malt - and it’s obvious that the brewer has used lots of it. Soft and quite pleasant. 280705
