Op de grens van Groot-Bijgaarden en Sint-Ulriks-Kapelle staat een hoeve waar boeren en brouwen tot op de dag van vandaag gecombineerd worden. Tot voor de Tweede Wereldoorlog was dit in het Pajottenland de gewoonste zaak van de wereld, maar sindsdien liet men overal de boerenstiel voor wat hij was en concentreerde men zich enkel op het brouwen van lambik. Niet zo op de Lindenberg, daar zet de familie Girardin deze traditie al vier generaties verder.

Bottle. Sweet rock candy and sour apple vinegar aroma. Reddish dark tan color with no head. Slight sour vinegar flavor - some typical must and hay flavor - fairly smooth. A nice gueuze.

Bottle. Fresh raspberry and yeast aroma. Deep red color with medium head. Sweet raspberry flavor initially with a sour finish. Nice fruit lambic that isn’t overly sweet and still has lambic characteristics. / 2008 bottle opened 11-16. Maintained very nice raspberry aroma and taste. MInimal sourness - very smooth. Aged beautifully.

Bottle. Sour vinegar and musty aroma. Dark tan color with quick collapsing head. Sour flavor initially with tart-tannic finish. One of the best gueuze.

Bottle. Aroma of fat cherries, some earth and acidity. Clear dark red colour. Plenty, stable bright red head. Acidic flavour with a little sweetness, bitter cherries, a little earth. Very nice, but a little too sweet for me. 6 4 7 3 15

Bottle. Bitter, acidic, moldy, yeasty aroma. Unclear golden colour, big unstable head. Citrus acidic flavour, a little astringengy. Aftertaste has a hint of fruit, a tiny bit of sweetness. Refreshing on a spring day.

An orange beer with a nice lasting off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and hints of coriander. The flavor is sweet malty with lots of hops and some caramel.

Bottled. Clear golden, small head. Aroma of horseblanket and herbal spicves. Lemony with the acidity balanced by some sweetness. Some stale hops in a juicy finish. The bottle tried lacks the freshness and complexity of the very best gueuzes.

Hazy light orange body, thin/medium off-white head. Sour aroma with cheese rind and musty barnyard odors. Surprisingly subdued sourness in the body; still complete with musty earthiness, cheese rind, and wood but surprisingly smooth. I expected an acidic sharpness but this somehow balances the sourness with the mustiness and earth. A touch grassy as well. Everything here seems to be in perfect balance, and this is the unusual beer that, despite its high overall rating, is highly accessible to people who don’t frequent the style. Cleary orange color, medium fine off-white head. Aroma of light hops, some grain, tartness, barnyard, some lemon. Soft sweet gueuze taste, tart, with a bitter palate.
