Light amber, quite pale, actually. No head. On the nose, a lot of brett. Dry, blueberry, fruity, touch of wood, nice tartness. A rounded, balanced sour/wild.

Bottle at PIB 2017, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out vinous notes, light funk, and some light wild yeast. Flavour is similar, with a pleasant funk character and wild yeast. Light citrus skins with a wild character on the finish. Very nice.

Almost black. Not too big mocha head which recedes quite quickly but still leaves a bit of lacing. A vivid and warming aroma shows roasted, slightly ’dusty’ malts, liquorice, alcohol warminess and a hint of spiciness. Taste has a bittersweet malt base with caramel and roasted notes, slight coffee, slight spiciness, liquorice and a balsam/herbal note. Finishes again bittersweet with a mild but still not too pleasant aftertaste of burnt caramel/alcohol that quite ruins a very good and complex taste. Medium to dense bodied with low to medium carbonation, quite thick but still going down easy enough. Overall a difficult beer to find words for, let’s say that’s somewhere in the middle of a belgian strong dark ale and a stout. Complex and interesting, maybe not perfectly balanced.

330 ml bottle. Cloudy dark orange. Spicy nose, esters, pepper, fun. Sweet and estery, tripel-like, nice peppery spicy. Fun stuff.

Bottle at home, 12th May 17. Pours a dark amber, hazy. Aroma is typical Belgian Strong, sweet notes, dark fruit, a little yeast and caramel. Taste is rich, sweet, but not overlly, caramel, slight bitter. Pretty good.

Bottle. Spicy nose, caramel and oranges. Amber-orange color. A bit stale caramel malts, bitter, spicy hops. Decent, but the least interesting thing I have had from this brewery.

Bottle at Lambiczoon. Clear bright golden amber color. Aroma of peat in a low smoulder. Taste has moderate smoked malts, fruit, subtle sourness. Interesting.

Il gusto al naso si ritrova nello speziato. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e la persistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una discreta resistenza. La grandezza delle bollicine è fine. La consistenza del liquido è limpida. La carbonazione è media. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è medio. L'intensità gustativa è normale. La persistenza gustativa è sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono di facile beva. Il finale è dissetante e semplice. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. In bocca l'aroma riporta sentori di miele e cereali.
