Life's too short for boring, middle of the road beers. Craft Brewery Kees! stands for tasty, fruity, hoppy flavours and strong dark ales, but there'll always be that 'twist' . That special 'something' that make his beers stand out.

Owner and brewer Kees Bubberman started his brewing career in 2007 at Emelisse, a small regional brewery in Kamperland, Zeeland. Within a couple of years Emelisse became a household name among craft breweries worldwide, thanks to the by British and American beer styles inspired ales, IPA's, strong porters, stouts that Kees Bubberman brewed. Never afraid of trying something new and relying on his experience as a restaurant chef he created more than 30 new beers, including an IPA with Earl Grey tea, barrel aged porters en stouts and strong porters and stouts with coffee. Kees was ahead of his time with experimental flavours like these.

In 2014 Kees Bubberman decided to start his own brewery in his hometown Middelburg. Thankful for the opportunities Emelisse gave him, he felt that it was time to go his own way. Brewery Kees! started in January 2015 and within a year his delicious IPA's, strong porters, Russian Imperial stouts and barrel aged barley wines, porters en stouts found their way in the (beer-)world.

Kees keeps on creating new beers and searching for new tastes, sometimes following and sometimes setting trends.

Blik besteld via de webshop. Troebel goudgeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en fruitig met wat citrus, veel hop en ananas. Een heel fijn bier.

330 ml can. Pours a ruby reddish brown with light head. Aromas of raisins, toffee, drambuie and toasted malts. Flavors of dried fruit, dry fruity chocolate, and toasted malts. Much drier than the nose predicts. Warm finish, but well in hand for the ABV. Very good.

440cL blik via de webshop. Donkerbruin tot nagenoeg zwart bier met schuim. Smaak is romig in de mond, licht bitter en vrij zoet met wat chocolade, koffie een beetje noten en karamel. Inderdaad een makkelijk drinkbaar bier.

Can from Stacks (?). Hazy dark brown, thin, beige head. Intense aroma of tobacco, mocha, nougat, toasted almonds, dark honey, dried fig & date, toffee, brandy. Taste has sweet fig, date & prune in a thick malt profile offering toffee, dark honey, some toast, a whiff of coconut and indeed subtle smoke. Peppery hops introduce the finish where more layers of dried fruits, biscuit, toast and smoke pass by, topped off with a warming dash of peated whisky alcohol. Medium to full body, oily texture, sot carbonation. Moreish and layered, excellent!

Pours pitch black with a tiny beige head. Aroma is chocolatey malts, wood barrels and spiced malts. Taste is roasted malts, hazelnuts and dark chocolate. Strong and warm palate.

Goudgeel bier met schuim wat vrij snel wegzakt. Smaak is bitter hoppig en licht fruitig met veel hop, wat ananas en hars. Zo hoort een Pilsener te smaken naar mijn mening.
