Pretty hazy golden coloured body with a nice, but thin and very fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of bright chiles with some lighter biscuity malts and some graininess here, but the chiles and some dry, grassy hops and their associated alpha acids do come through towards the end. Medium-bodied; Assertive chile flavours and a mild dose of heat comes through at first and provides a good balance to a little bit of sweetness here as well, seemingly from caster sugar, but the malt and hops themselves are balanced out nicely with a good kick of grainy malts and some noticeable hops here - very nicely struck balance between them tall. Aftertaste shows the chiles of course, but not at a gimmicky sort of way - they are structured well to complement the rest of the flavours from the beer, and also bring out some additional bitterness from the hops, which they do nicely. Overall, quite impressive for a chile-based beer, to be honest, with the balance and flavour profile done in a very nice way, at least to me, who appreciates heat and especially the flavours that chiles can provide to food/drink, even in beer. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 01-July-2021 for US$3,25 sampled at my house here in Washington in my Midnight Sun glass from the brewery itself, reminding me of a good time in Alaska, even when it's super hot in the summertime on the East Coast.

Level 6 tasting. Can. Cheers Shig! Mild to medium haze on this amber beer, tiny pale head. Light palate, decent fine carbonation. Malts are caramel and cream whilst not being overly sweet. Ripe fruits on the back end. Some spice develops on the finish. A somewhat old school barleywine but a nice one.

On tap at Wil. Hazy deep golden with small white head. Aroma is heavy fruit, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is ripe citrus (overripe?), coriander, and some booze. Hoped for more.
Been forever since I had this and still fantastic. Sweet fig boozy love. Shame on the tavour pricing but worth it in the end. Light bodied deliciousness.
