Description

Pours a bit viscously to a deep dark red-brown beer, almost black, under a thick & dense tan-brown head; Roast, sweet, liquorice, meatcrust/gravy, toffee, but also dark green leaves. Much more bitter tastewise, burnt, intensely roasted, sweeter roasted molasses in the background. Bit strangely burning MF, viscous, medium to well-carbonated, dense consistency. Aftertaste has hints at spirit; Good I.S.

Bottle from hetbiermoment.nl. Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, hint of yeasty dirtiness. Flavor is sweet, malt, slight caramel, slight bread, hint of fruits and chocolate. Feels really hollow, almost like 2nd or 3rd run of the same malt. Overall: okish, I'm sucker for low abv malty beers, but only English seem to know how to do them properly.
