Description
The brewing company of the Montseny was born with the desire to provide a craft beer of the highest quality: our beers are handcrafted and natural.
We are a microbrewery with a productive capacity of 3.000 litres in each development. Through the system of English traditional elaboration (with maceration by the method of simple infusion), the production process is virtually manual. Because of these unique features of elaboration, handcrafted beers are produced.
In the brewing of the Montseny we bottle natural beers and unpasteurised. The carbonic gas is generated naturally by the yeast that is contained in the bottle. We can say that they are living beers that evolve over time. The alcoholic fermentation is a traditional way to food processing to lengthen their preservation allows us to not add any artificial preservative to the beer.
Our microbrewery specialises in beers of the family of the Ales or high fermentation, unlike the majority of the national productions, which are of the family of the Lager or bottom-fermented. It is recommended to drink our beers, if well fresh, less cold than the Lager.
6/10
Quite roasty and bitter, some muddled dark chocolate and coffee notes. Thin mouthfeel for an imperial stout, and very low carbonation. Honestly underwhelming.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Opaque black colored brew with very dry bitter taste with a little bit waterish, hints of roasted malts. Catalonia meets Dublin.

Purchased in Barcelona, March 2024. A somewhat juicy and citrus forward IPA. clear gold appearance. One of the better beers I tried in Barcelona.

Finishes much smoother than the chili, and one of the rare brandy that I enjoy.

Me gusta

Aroma a cereal, hierba, fruta tropical, resina. Bastante amargona

Bottle 33 cl. Hazy golden with a sloid, white head. Fruity, yeasty nose. Medium body, dry fruitiness with quite some yeast - no cloves or banana though. A dry finish with no real bitterness. Straight but plain. 200224
