Description
The brewing company of the Montseny was born with the desire to provide a craft beer of the highest quality: our beers are handcrafted and natural. We are a microbrewery with a productive capacity of 3.000 litres in each development. Through the system of English traditional elaboration (with maceration by the method of simple infusion), the production process is virtually manual. Because of these unique features of elaboration, handcrafted beers are produced. In the brewing of the Montseny we bottle natural beers and unpasteurised. The carbonic gas is generated naturally by the yeast that is contained in the bottle. We can say that they are living beers that evolve over time. The alcoholic fermentation is a traditional way to food processing to lengthen their preservation allows us to not add any artificial preservative to the beer. Our microbrewery specialises in beers of the family of the Ales or high fermentation, unlike the majority of the national productions, which are of the family of the Lager or bottom-fermented. It is recommended to drink our beers, if well fresh, less cold than the Lager.

Bottle 0.33l from our Mallorca trip in summer 2018. Black, opaque. AROMA- roasted malts, dark chocolate, pralines, tones of nuts and coffee, pleasant alcohol. FLAVOR- smooth, slightly sweet, lightly bitter, liquid pralines again, just very decent chilli in finish. Full bodied. Very good stuff.

Can. An almost clear dark amber colored beer with a small beige head. The aroma has lots of toffee, bread and dried fruits, with piney hops and notes of fluor. It’s full-bodied, warming and smoothly carbonated, with a quite heavy bitterness. Some cellar hints, a touch of oxidation and higher alcohols. Caramel, dried fruits, dark bread crust and piney, lightly citrusy hops. Lasting finish. A bit warming this one, perhaps a bit rough too, but sure nice. 201127
