Description
The brewing company of the Montseny was born with the desire to provide a craft beer of the highest quality: our beers are handcrafted and natural. We are a microbrewery with a productive capacity of 3.000 litres in each development. Through the system of English traditional elaboration (with maceration by the method of simple infusion), the production process is virtually manual. Because of these unique features of elaboration, handcrafted beers are produced. In the brewing of the Montseny we bottle natural beers and unpasteurised. The carbonic gas is generated naturally by the yeast that is contained in the bottle. We can say that they are living beers that evolve over time. The alcoholic fermentation is a traditional way to food processing to lengthen their preservation allows us to not add any artificial preservative to the beer. Our microbrewery specialises in beers of the family of the Ales or high fermentation, unlike the majority of the national productions, which are of the family of the Lager or bottom-fermented. It is recommended to drink our beers, if well fresh, less cold than the Lager.

Botle. A- Char, apple, fudge. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal head. T- Leather, soy sauce, charred wood, bitter, booze, burnt brown sugar. P- Full body, thick texture, average carbonation, robust finish. O- Fairly bitter but it seems to come from a charred wood taste. I get some apple brandy on the nose. Fairly faint but nice. The taste is just a huge complex array of aggressive flavors. Nice but in your face. Thick and creamy texture was appreciated as well. If it was a bit more refined this would be top notch.

Sampled from the tap at Cocovail Beer Hall. Pours a clear gold with an eggshell head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy pine and some bitter onion with grass and grain underlying. Flavor has a decent amount of onion, earthy pine and resin with a growing sweet grain backbone.

Dark brown, no head. Some haze. Rich toffee, burnt fruits, chewy, lots of alcohol. On the palate it's kind of thin, but a touch of burnt sugars and vague fruits. So a bit of a let down. Nice bourbon notes, and some good elements, but I'd prefer more body.
