Bottled. Dark brown with a reddish hue and a small beige head. Sweet and acidic aroma with some cellar. The flavor is much the same, but with berries. Medium body with some astringency. Feels a bit fizzy in the mouth, but not in a negative way. Long sour finish. It was pleasant with my mussels. Rating: 6-3-6-4-13-3.2. 060714
Bottle, 25cl. A finger-worth of dense beige head sits on top a reddish, muddy brown body. For most people I guess it looks bad, I like the looks of this one. Vinous, vinegary nose with a good fruityness, cherries and dark berries layering up. A note of cellar and prunes also shows up. It’s quite astringent, well carbonated, smooth and palate-cleansing. There’s also a sweetish impression, even though it’s quite dry. Vinous and vinegar-ish flavor with cherries, blackberry, prune notes, hints of cellar and lemon. There’s also a sugary sweet touch to the beer, maybe a bit more than I would prefer. Overall a very nice beer, packed in an ugly labelled bottle. 091103
