Cask at Hogshead, Wolverhampton Well, if I hadn’t read existing reviews, I woulkd have said there was something wrong with this beer. But other people have mentioned its weird taste, so here goes. Pours a rich ruby red with s small cream head. Nose has a fruity sourness – maybe strawberries. In the mouth it is sharp, fruity and acidic – like unripe plums and cherries. Finish is fruity too. It’s OK as a beer, but any resemblance to a porter is coincidental !

8/2/2020. Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Pours almost black with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, ash, chocolate, dark fruit. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Sweet finish. Pretty good.

Cask @ The Wellington, Birmingham. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, licorice, hops and has a nice bitter finish.
