On tap at Steamworks - Gastown, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma doesn't have much of the Amburana, with toasted bready malt, a hint of caramel, and light fruitiness. Flavour does bring out plenty of the Amburana — that's pretty damn nice — with notes of sugar cane, wood chips, toasted caramel, and light red fruits. That Amburana steals the show and gives this a depth I doubt it could have otherwise. Excellent.

On tap at Steamworks - Gastown, pours a clear dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out soft bready malt, a hint of dry cocoa, and a hint of toasted nuts. Flavour has very faint cocoa powder and soft bready malt. Pretty weak, even for a brown. But it's inoffensive.

16oz shared with Alex (thx for the beer, man!) in Golden Ears on Alouette campground. Appearance: hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma: flowery, tropical fruits, quite nice. Taste: along the same lines with prominent mango notes. Overall: nice one.

473ml can. Pours a cloudy orange yellow with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of bready pale malt, orange, mango, honeydew melon, earthy yeast and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready pale malt, grapefruit peel, peach, mango, earthy yeast and pine resin in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Juicy and tasty.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Blond colour, cloudy. Fruity aroma, with melon, papaya (7.5). Not too dry, but the mouthfeel is on the thin side; a bit too starchy (7-); good hop expression, fresh, mostly lemon, with a touch of citron, and orange; some bitter peel in the finish. With more residual sugar, this would be great. Good.

August 2017: 330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.6%, 40 IBU. Hops are Cascade, Citra, Simcoe and Amarillo. Reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma of fruity and piney American hops, also hints of brown bread, caramel malts and chocolate malts. Slightly dry flavour of lightly roasted malts, chocolate, roasted nuts, brown bread and fruity and piney hops.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark brown colour, brown head, compact. Aroma of caramel, fudge. The best quality is that it's smooth; the sweetness is mild; some nice coffee seems to be the most evident flavour, with hints of vanilla and cream (the coconut maybe, but very faint). Mmm, not much a pastry IS, but I like it.

16oz @ Alex's becoming a former house. Appearance: brown with a beige head. Aroma: dark malts, some sweetness, a bit of fruity notes. Taste: along the same lines, a bit on the thin side. Overall: it's fine.

Pale reddish-amber, bright. Not much head. Light raspberry. The palate is a basic ale, light plastic, some tart raspberry but the fruit is muted.
