Description
The Steamworks Brewing Company is a microbrewery based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Founded in 1995, Steamworks was originally based out of the Gastown brewpub located in the city of Vancouver. In 2013, the current brewery and taproom opened in the neighbouring city of Burnaby.

Draught at the brewpub
Black color. Creamy head. Ashy and weak Stout, dry mouthfeel, strong bitterness from the roasted malts. Bah.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours hazy yellow. Aroma and flavour of citrus and wheat. Nicely balanced.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours hazy golden. Aroma and flavour of yeast, citrus and banana on the finish. Very nice tripel.

Pours black, with a tan head. Light aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Flavour follows the same. Mouthful is very creamy and easy-to-drink. Nice stout.

Golden amber, with a fairly hoppy aroma. Taste has a good amount of bitterness. Well-balanced. Good IPA.

Cask@Steamworks Brewery Brewpub, Vancouver. Cloudy golden beer with a yeasty and lemon peal aroma. The flavour is deeply dry, citric and mildly yeasty. Overall a nice german wheat beer.

Cask@Steamworks Brewery Brewpub, Vancouver. Dark brown beer with a lightly fruity and musty aroma. The flavour is bitter and warming. Overall a very average beer where you struggle to taste the fruit.

Cask@Steamworks Brewery Brewpub, Vancouver. Thick reddish brown looking beer with a fruity and slightly strawberry aroma. The flavour is bitter and spiced. Overall a very nice pleasantly spiced and fruity hopped beer.
