750ml bottle from Gosnells. Pale golden colour, no head and aroma of honey, floral, fudge. Taste is sweet, honey, flowery, with caramel & fudge notes. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet boozy finish. Nicely drinkable.

Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo, 21/11/23. Pale almost translucent faded yellow with a thin white wispy cap that settles as a swirl. Nose is sugar, honeydew melon, floral notes. Taste comprises sweet honey, pear notes, sugars, perfume. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Okay easy sipper.

500ml bottle from Gosnells. Batch 467. Hazed pale yellowish white colour, white foam head that dissipates and aroma of honey, floral, melon. Taste is sweetish, honey, flowery, with some chalky notes and light tartness. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottle pour at Gosnell's Meadery Taproom (Bermondsey), pours a clear golden, no head. Aroma is quite weak, with gentle blueberry, floral notes, and booze. Flavour is watery, clumsy and poorly calibrated, with tart blueberry, watery notes, and seriously lacking honey expression. Not quite offensive but this was really not good.

Bottle pour at Gosnell's Meadery Taproom (Bermondsey), pours a clear pale blonde, no head. Aroma is complex, with a nice, complex, wildflower honey character. Flavour is not the most intense, with lots of wildflower honey, some booze, floral notes, etc. Light-bodied, but has some nice honey complexity. A tad boozy. Good but a bit harsh and not elegant or rich enough in honey expression to compete with the big leagues.

Bottle pour at Gosnell's Meadery Taproom (Bermondsey), pours a cloudy dull golden with a small white head. Aroma is full on lapsang tea smoke, with the honey taking a backseat. Flavour is smoky, with tart honey, some citrus, and lapsang tea. Smoky, citrusy and tart. Pleasant, I guess, for a session mead, but not what I'm looking for in the style.

On tap at Gosnell's Meadery Taproom (Bermondsey), pours a clear pale golden, no head. Aroma brings out plenty of honey nectar, some booze, and gentle wildflower notes. Flavour is intense, with lots of honey nectar, moderate booze, and some wildflower notes. Smooth and well-fermented. It's no Polish mead, but maybe on par with some of the nicer Czech/Slovak ones. Solid stuff.

330ml can from Lowcostbeer. It pours crystal clear gold with a small, fluffy white head. The aroma is zingy, sweet - sour, tangy, sour green chewits, gooseberry, white grape, honey cake and tangfastics. The taste is fairly crisp upfront, sweet, tangy, gooseberry, white grape, runny honey, touch of sherbet, tangfastics, poached pear, melon, white sugar, candy and soor plooms with a tangy finish. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Tbh I wanted it a lot more sour, but it's nice enough anyhow.

The taste is sweet, juicy, tangy, bright, green fruit ms, melon, white grape juice, kiwi fruit, greengage, lemon - lime, lime cordial, floral honey and some white sugar with some dryness through the finish. Average body and fine, spritzy carbonation. Pretty pleasant. Nice fruity character.
