Insignificant pilsner aroma. Looks like a hefeweizen; cloudy. Flavor of a pilsner with some malt. One dimensional. Even for an American wheat, this is bad. If they called it a lager it might be ok.

Pours a very think copper with little or no head. Aroma is of course very hoppy and the flavor is like a Carolina pine forest. Very piney and citrusy. NIce hop overpowering you expect. The swallow is chewy and thick. Lots of good stuff happining here.

Thanks to Lord Gorlock (DrunkAsASkunk) for this sample!!! Light amber color with a small head. Clean aroma dominated by malt and a citrusy hop note. The flavor is well balanced, with a respectably dry finish. Nice IPA.

Thanks to Lord Gorlock for sharing this one while on World Tour 2004! A slightly off white sticky head forms above this light amber beer. Malty aroma, toasted marshmallows darkly toasted. The flavor starts sweet and finishes bitter. Alcohol well hidden. No faults, but I’d like more hops and a touch more body to score this higher. A good choice for someone wanting a little less hop intensity.

Thanks to Lord Gorlock (DrunkAsASkunk) for sharing this on his 2004 World Tour. Black with a Mocha colored head. Aroma of dark caramel, roast malt, coffee and chocolate. The flavor is like espresso. Dark, coating, roasty palate that goes on and on. Very Nice!

Nice raspberry aroma disguises the lack of taste. What is there is sour wheat with barely detectable raspberry. Looks like cranberry juice. Light and easy to drink. Lienie’s berryweiss is better. Somewhat refreshing.

Sampled at the GA 14% gathering. Thanks to Wunderbier for bringing this one! Clear and dark amber in color with a small head. Caramel is heavy in the aroma. Very fruity. The well blended flavor has alcohol, fruits, and a brief show of hops at the finish. This was probably better than I rated it. It think it came late in the run.

A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma is of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt and it is the same notes coming from the flavor. This is a great beer. Thanks to Mads Berg for sharing this one.

2003 series. Pours clear amber/copper with a thin-medium off-white head. Grassy, piney hops aroma. Piney hops flavor is played off a biscuity, caramely, lemony malt matrix. Aftertaste returns to piney/grassy hops. Enjoyable yet nondescript; I'm not sure how this fits the "bold and assertive" category the "Maverick" series claims to entail.

2003 bottle. Lovely light violet-magenta/pink color. VERY clear; filtered to all hell. Little head, moderately bubbly. Smells like pounds of wet, crushed raspberries. Very fresh. Flavor is light raspberry and at first it comes in a bit bitter and almost begins a crescendo, but the it dies a horrible watery death and I am left wondering. . is this beer I am drinking?? Try Bell's Raspberry instead. This needs more malt (it has none), and somehow needs to get some body, this is about as extra light as it gets. Didnt bother finishing.
