(Bottle) pours clear amber with good white head. Nice aroma - pine, with hints of fruit. Good palate - light and well carbonated. Nice taste - fruity over light caramel malt with a bit of bitterness in the finish. Very drinkable.

500ml bottle into shaker. Crystal clear golden beer with tightly packed foamy white head. Good lacing. Medium carbonation. Lots of fruit in the nose, some pepper too. Full bodied, oily texture. Taste and finish are bitter and fruity. Antiseptic, alcohol, and earth are apparent later on. It really is a big beer which demands big respect. Obviously not a quaffer, a sipping beer that tastes better with smoked cheese.

From a 500ml bottle on 22/1/2018. Pours a clear golden with a big head which disappears quickly. There's some caramel and candied fruit in the nose. Taste wise, there a good dollop of sweet caramel malt and muted tropical and stone fruit, along with some fruit lollies. This is met by a pretty assertive, slightly medicinal, chemical bitterness. The palate is slick and the carbonation. Okay but the bitterness is slightly harsh, making it a touch unbalanced.

Tap at the Birmingham Hotel, Melbourne. Poured a clear straw colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma light grainy malt, light citrus fruit. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet with a dry crisp, grainy malt, watery grassy hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Taste: moderate malty, light to moderate sweet, caramel, toffee, nuts, raisins, herbal hops. Light to medium body, moderate carb, dryish lingering bitter finish. On tap at the brewpub in Manly. Pours yellow golden with a white top. Aroma: biscuit malts, fruity hop notes, no real arom@ of chillis. Taste: crisp, pale malts, lightly floral but the overriding flavour is the chilli aftertaste, leaves a tang in the throat. Light bodied, soft carb, dryish finish
