On cask at Monty's Bar. Appearance - dark brown to black and fairly opaque. Neat fawn head. Nose - chocolate, light toffee. A touch of resin but not as fruity as expected from the description. Taste - more toffee and chocolate. Palate - creamy and close to medium bodied with a gentle taper and good linger. Overall - nice beer. A fresh stout even if it falls short of a hopped stout.

Gravity poured half-pint at the 23rd Codsall Station beer festival on 3rd May 2019. Pale golden body, white head. Citrus notes in both the aroma and taste, maybe with some grape like esters and flavours too, the tasting notes made me hunt for anything grape like and I think I found a trace!
