Can from the REWE in Tittling. Clear yellow-golden body, off-white head. Sweetish-dusty tart apple aroma. Lean, dry, tart taste, quite simplistic, empty, but not bad, light fermentation touches, tart green apples, fairly soft, drinkable, not terribly engaging though. Okay, run of the mill Apfelwein. Used half of it for Bolognese sauce as I ran out of white wine, so hope it works!

0.5l bottle from the REWE in Tittling. Brownish amber body, no head. Low caramel, cola on a pretty tart cider background. Lean, dry, dusty taste, some cola, definitely, astringent. Quite empty, and the base seems to be one of those exceedingly simple sour German apple wines- Ends really sour. I mean, it's not a terrible beverage, the cola syrup countered some tooth enamel destroyer of a cider from murdering someone, it seems, and we need to thank it for its service. Would I buy it again? Uncertain.

Can 50 cl. Pours a clear red with a fizzy, dissipating pinkish head. The aroma has a clear base of apple cider with a discreet edge of cherries. Medium-bodied, solid carbonation. Again the apple base is obvious with a pleasant tartness and the cherries adding a subtle sweetness. Neatly balanced in both flavor and acidity. Pleasant drinking. 231124

Can 50 cl. Pours a clear brownish with a small, off-white head. Downplayed cola aroma. Medium body, lightly sweet cola notes while the only remaining note from the cider is a slight acidity. I didn’t really need this, does anybody? 260824
