Nicely done pale ale. Amber color. Aroma of honey and resiny hops. Flavor features a nice blast of resiny hops. Malts are lightly caramel, bready and mostly just a background for the hops. Clean fermentation profile.

Copperish gold. Aroma was faint, but of lightly perfumed hops. They were more citric (lemon zest) and grassy in the flavor. Finish was medium bitter. Malts were clean with just a touch of caramelization, although perhaps a touch of berries were there too.

Very brown, with a ruby tint. Mild chocolat and roast aromas. Dry, chalky on the palate, with some chocolate, and maybe some spices, like cinnamon. Also a molasses component? A little on the thin side.

Golden and a bit lifeless looking. Pretty unique among american wheats, with distinct notes of berries and honey. Among a few brewpub american wheats worth drinking.

A pleasant surprise. Looks a bit dull in the glass, a lifeless pale gold. Aroma was curious and inviting, with a straight on green chili aroma, not much else in the nose though. Slight green chili flavors come to the fore, over what is otherwise a pretty clean thin and boring, but not bad, lager. I didn’t find it to have any heat or spice at all really, just the barest peppery kick in the finish. Still, faily well done as a chili beer.

Good name for a stout. Anyway, congrats here because despite their use of nitro on this, and my hatred of the practice, this beer barely suffered for it, and may have had some traits it might not otherwise have had. You know it must be a robust beer to shine through the nitro. Nice black color with typical brown creamy nitro head. Aroma nicely done with alot of roast, chocolate and some coffee. Flavor also features the same trio of flavors. Smooth (duh) but not overly thinned out by the nitro - still feels like a beer.

On tap at Flat Branch. Dark opaque brown body, creamy tan nitrogenous head. Full body with rich, layered semisweet chocolate, caramel, and roast. After a few sips the chocolate became a bit too thick, muddy, and cloying. Not a bad beer but not especially good either.

On tap at Flat Branch. Clear yellow/straw body. Light sweet aroma followed by a bordering-on-nothing flavor of light honey and a tiny tanginess. I’m not sure what else to write besides pathetic. Pathetic. There, that should do the trick.

On tap at Flat Branch. I thought I cleared my senses with the Cave Creek Chili Beer I recently sampled...but, alas, I ordered the Flat Branch version. The weak malt base could not overcome the pickled (laden with preservatives) chili pepper. The beer was softly carbonated and had a heavy feel on the tongue. Not spicy, however. Why? Why?

On tap at Flat Branch. This was my favorite beer at the brewery. Deep red-brown body with nary a head. Flavor was quite interesting with caramel, toast, dark fruit, nuts, and red grapes. A tasty, quaffable brown ale.
