Clear chestnut colour with small off white head. Aromas of toffee, hay, chocolate, prunes. Taste is somewhere between toffee and caramel, brioche, chocolate, grains, black grape, light vinegar. Decent body to this, soft carbonation. Its an excellent Dunkel.

Bottle from Honest Brew. Clear gold, small white head, minor retention. Aroma of sweet grainy malts, slightly creamy, lemon, floral and earthy notes. Taste is bready, semi-sweet, creamy grains, slight citrus tang, grassy and herbal hop finish. Light to medium bodied, fairly smooth, medium to high carbonation. Its a good solid example of a Helles.

Bottle from Connolly's Wine Merchants. Pours gold with small white head. Aroma of grains, bread, sweetness, hint of lemon. Full bodied by lager standards, taste grainy, a bit doughy with lemon note. Its ok.
