Bottle. The label and name are redolent of a hospice calmative and sterilizing agent. Gold with a snow white head. Aroma is a bit shy - grainy, slightly toasted, some honey, a little dough, vague spices. Medium bodied, quite high carbonation. Sweet with some toasty and bready malt, alcohol dry at the end with gentle bitterness. Dull.

[ As Abdij Averbode ].Clear light medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, wheat ! moderate yeasty, grass, fruity, peach, light metalic. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity yeast - hops, peach, grass, herbal notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150725]
