Description
It all started with a neighbor sharing a homemade beer. Liz saw how excited Jamil was and bought him a Mr. Beer kit for Christmas. Jamil became obsessed with brewing the perfect beer and became a homebrew legend in the process by winning a first-place medal in every known beer, mead, and cider style category. Eventually, his passion to brew was too strong and Jamil and Liz decided to take the plunge and open Heretic Brewing Company.
We started by sharing a building with another brewery in 2011, but we always brewed our beer ourselves. Within the first six months we realized there wasn’t enough space for two breweries in one building, so we began the search for a new place. By 2013, we had built a new, modern brewery in the wonderful city of Fairfield, California and moved all our operations there, including our new distillery.

Tap at Brody’s. Black with light brown head. Boozy bourbon, licorice, roasted malts, dark chocolate, fudge, soft oak, earthy, vanilla. Quite sweet and bitter. Almost full bodied. Lots of barrel here. Decent.

Tight bubbly beige head left a decent cover on a black still body. Nut, malt & lactose aroma. Medium bodied, well carbonated, slightly greasy & cloying on the back. Dark chocolate, nutty, demerara, coffee & liquorice tastes with tangy, bitter berry finish.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Mandarin/tangerine wafts from the pour. Med body. Flavor is citric, very tangerine/mandarin - actually has that little fruit's flavor. Reasonably dry, pretty citrously fruity, and nicely bitter. Different and refreshing.

Flarra Imp Stout jämförelse med PQ. Doftar åhhh bourbon, choklad, lite kaffe. Bra start. I munnen då?

Can 355ml (Beer Republic, canned 10/30/18)
Pale amber colour, small steady white head and lace. Piney, resiny, hop oily aroma. Medium-bodied. Quite light body for this ABV, easy to drink. Pine, pine needles, resin and some alcohol in the flavour. Simplish but decent old school bitter IPA.
