Medium brown color. Candied apples, dark fruit, earth, wood, chocolate, very malty nose. Smooth mouth with tons of dark fruit, milk chocolate, slightly sweet, cherries, apricots, soooo rounded. Lingering dark fruit and chocolate finish. Fantastic Quad.

Dark brown color. Big heady nose with tons of fresh hoppy notes, citrus, dark chocolate dark fruit, body is much lighter than 10.5z nice stuff.

Very clear rose color. Reminds me of raspberry juice for some reason. Lightly tart nose with some hibiscus. The mouth is very light with mild tartness and a touch of smoke. Low hops. Quaffable. Enjoyable. Lovely summer beer.

Bottle from GBBF 2014 and drunk at home. Clear gold lasting white head. Well then. It’s a big double ipa from the States, yes. Resiny hop, check. Not quite as fresh as it could be or is that the crystal malt talking? It’s got sticky resiny hops. It’s got decent bitterness. Hop finish is pleasant. Yes an extreme beer but nothing to make it stand out from the other extreme dipas. Hides alcohol quite well but there is some heat on the finish. Decent. But against the style? It is what it is.

Draft. Clear bright yellow color, fluffy white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of white wine, booze, vanilla. Taste is lemon, vanilla. OK.

Pours black with a fading tan head.Nose shows chocolate and hazelnut, mainly hazelnut. Pretty much ferrero rocher in a glass. Awesome. Some bready malt too.Flavours include more of the same, but with more of a bitter cocoa note and a fair bit of roasted malt.Body could be a bit richer/creamier.

Bottle shared @ ChrisO after GBBF Day 1. Dark brown to black color, small lightly brown head. Aroma is malts, indeed a lot of chocolate, vanilla, lots of hazelnuts as well. Taste malts, chocolate, hazelnuts, lightly vanilla, lightly roasty, a bit sweet initially and slightly chocolate bitter in the finish. A bit thin texture, medium body, medium carbonation. Could use a bit more viscosity. Nice when a beer is actually what the name says it is.

Sampled @ GBBF. Bottle shared. Opaque pitch black color, average sized beige to light brown head. Aroma is malts, roasted malts, dark chocolate, lightly vanilla. Taste malts, roasted malts, lightly vanilla, chocolate, sweet-bitter. Medium body, soft yet suitable carbonation.

International IPA day train tasting with Kenny, all aboard the 15.50 from Waterloo to Sirenville, 01/08/14. Light black with a moderate tan covering that thins then retains. Nose is nutty, light roast, cocoa powder, Nutella. Taste comprises hazlenut, Cadburys Fruit and Nut (case), cocoa powder, toffee fudge, trace of dark fruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough porter.
