Bottle. It pours a reddish, dark brown body under a dark beige to tan head. Not very good aroma, with solvent, roasted malts and a sourish scent. Sour, lemony flavor with a good dash of roasted malts and some coffee. Thin and astringent in the mouth. This one wasn’t much good, at least not compared with its two bigger brothers. Seems to be off. Would like to get another of this one, preferable fresh. My sample wasn’t past BB-date, so it shouldn’t be as bad as it was. Still, enough nice flavors and aromas to prevent it from being all bad. (090116)

Bottled (BB 02/2009). Dark ruby color, small tan head. Coffee, licorice, vanilla and sweet bready notes in the nose. Very soft palate. Sweetish, licorice, toasted malts, cocoa, tar. A bit industrial and a bit too sweet East European type porter, but quite drinkable.

Bottle picked up from Oxford Beer Festival, foreign beer stand 16-10-08 , consumed 18-10-08 Poured dark brown with a light beige head. Found this too be a bit sweet and heavy, lacks any bitterness, at times I got a hint of Christmas, it wasn’t bad and grew on me a little.
