Bottle @ THT. Opaque black color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, loads of alcohol, just smells and tastes like some kind of high alcohol shot. Don’t like it.

Bottle shared. Pours near black with a medium short lived beige head. Aroma shows up the absinthe strong upfront, aniseed, light herbal and faint stout notes beneath. Flavour is over moderate sweet. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Interesting idea but the absinthe over powers and doesn’t make a particularly pleasant drinking beer.

Bottle at THT thanks to kermis. Black with short lasting light brown head. Massive absinthe notes up front, aniseed, licorice, some more absinthe and medicinal notes. Very light sweetness and medicinal bitter finish. Under medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Very interesting but not very pleasant drinking.

Sample from pint size can. Dark brown color with a creamy tanned head. Roasted aroma with caramel, chocolate, coffee, herbal hops. Taste is sweet-roasted. Full bodied. Roasted finish. Lovely Porter.
