Tap at Goblet ZG. Why?!?! Fairly clear golden body, lasting thick white head. Somewhat fruity aroma, dusty, cidery touch, slightly moldy. Empty creamy grainy taste, sweetish, vague apple.

Keg at Òran Mór in the West End of Glasgow, having just spotted a rare Edward VIII post box! Clear copper with a thick smooth head. Mostly a bitter with chewy caramels developing in its aftertaste. Malty nose.

330ml bottle. Clear, amber colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, minimally grey-ish, white head. Mellow malty and slightly fruity aroma, hints of red berries. Taste is minimalyl toasty, mellow malty, slightly fruity, slightly alcoholic, hints of red berries, cherry, some caramel, bitter hoppy counterpart. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, fine, soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Flattering sweetness, quite monotonous - so-so.

Schooner on tap at The Red Lion, Glencoe. Black as black can be. No light shines through. Malty smoky nose, some cocoa. Nice lacing. Taste of sweet chocolate, finish is lactic with a slight lingering bitterness. Nice sweet stout, very easy to drink.

Bottle from Co-op, Byfleet (there's two with 30 yards, the one by the Post Office). Aroma has hoppy, light citrus underlying malts and an earthiness. Clear gold. Thin foamy white head. Certainly a hoppy streak throughout... more than I was expecting in any case some citrus. Underlying malts... bready. Light. Thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. OK. Better than your average macro lager.
