Bottle: As black as ink, medium-sized and quite stable off-white head, mild to moderate sweetish-bitter aroma of roasted malt with well hidden traces of freshly ground coffee; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, pretty soft, not watery; slightly lingering coffeeish-bitter finish with a small amount of balancing sweet dark malt. Simple, but quite well drinkable...

Tight white head left a spotty cover on a highly carbonated pale golden coloured body. Sweet, biscuit & malt aroma. Medium bodied, airy over the tongue with a sharp back. Sweet, sugary, malt, grain & lemonade tastes with tangy finish. Boring & 660ml of it. 😏😏

Bottle. Amber with ~cm of white head. 3+ Muffled aroma of oak, cardboard, prunes, grass. Fairly sweet with modest bitterness. More malt in the taste and it seems more from the whisky than the beer. But OK with oak and enough bitterness to make a finish. Fair enough.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, frothy, rapidly diminishing, tan head. Roasty, slightly chocolately, sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, hints of insipid coffee, milk chocolate, a touch of roasted nuts, blueberry, metallic overtones. Taste is slightly dry and sweet-ish, roasty and chocolately, dark malty, minimally fruity and metallic, minimally sugary, caramel malty, hints of dark caramel, coffee, chocolate, a touch of liquorice, toasted nuts, salmiac, minimally earthy, almost a bit fungoid undertones. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth, soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, soft to flat carbonation. Relatively rich for its low abv, but all flavours simply do not appear in an overly tasty variant - off-the-shelf product.

Bottle. Almost clear golden amber, small head. Nose of grain, a little oak, a whisper of whisky. Flavor is more (not too peated) whisky, a bit sweet. Pretty decent combination even though it is a lot less complex than a serious barrel aged beer. Most likely oak chips soaked in cheap whisky, but it's a tasty result nonetheless.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear amber with a slightly off-white head. Nose is slightly nutty with a hint of toffee and alcohol. Rich, malty body, raw and sulphurous, slight toffee and a very boozy finish. I strongly suspect that this is made with a Lager yeast - it's kinda crude and raw with no Ale fruitiness. 161121

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a smallish, beige head. Very subtle roast aroma. Medium body, sweet roast, some cardboard, a hint of licorice and a subtle bitterness. The sweetness is a bit challenging. 161121

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, deep golden with an off-white head. Nose has malts, sulphur and booze. Rich, sweet, malty body, again sulphurous from the Lager yeast. Feels pretty raw and boozy as these Strong commercila Lagers always do. 161121
