0.33 l bottle from a kiosk in Badalona, best before August 2017. Clear, amber with a fluffy, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty aroma of caramel, vanilla and nuts. Sweetish, moderately malty taste of caramel, honey, vanilla and maybe a touch of oak, followed by a short, slightly bitter, minimally oaky and a bit metallic finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not bad!

Can. This one says 8% and has an Indian importer’s details on it before wending its way to me. And I appear to be the first non-Polish rater of this Scots delicacy. Glamour rate. Orange with a chill haze, modest white head. Aroma of pear drops, cardboard, old ground pepper. Not a lot of body, medium high carbonation. Not all that sweet for this sort of thing, although it is straight from the coldest part of the fridge. Vague cereals, some cardboard, dusty spice. A real singe of the throat with lowish bitterness at the end. Not the hilarious car crash expected.

Clear gold with a tall head that fizzed off quickly. Toasty biscuit, corn, light earthy hop notes. Medium thin body. Flavor finishes with a lot of toasted malt and light earthy hops. Clean. Decent. (My can was labeled 5% abv.)

Typowy strong lager.

Keg at the Grill. It pours clear very pale gold with a thick, foamy white head. The fresh, white bread, straw, grass, sweet creaminess and not much else. The taste is crisp, clean, soft bitterness, white bread, straw, grass, soda water and a hint of lemon. Finish is dry. Light -medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. An inoffensive lager.

Bottle, 0.33l. Clear amber color with thin creamy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma is grassy and herbal with toffee and some earthy notes. Taste starts with medium sweet toffee and toasted malt, follows by mild dried fruits, slightly papery and medicinal, mouthfeel is rather dry, while finish is moderate grassy bitter. Light to medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation on palate. ABV is 6.2%, not so special, like typical English IPA...

Barwa ciemnozłota, klarowne, piana biała, umiarkowanej wielkości i trwałości. W aromacie słodowe, trochę whisky. W smaku słodowość, wyraźna wanilia i trochę dębowości, nut whisky, nieco słodyczy karmelowej. Alkohol praktycznie nie wyczuwalny, goryczka niska, wysycenie też, treść umiarkowana. Płatki dębowe robią tutaj pierwszoplanową rolę, gdyby nie one, niewiele by tu się działo. Całkiem przyzwoite, ale niczego nie urywa.
