It was during this period that we began to think what the ethos would be of our ideal company. From that the Atom story began. Our ethos has not been just about making beer, our long-term goal is to create an educational environment to inspire students across all age groups and build a community.

Victorian Craft Beer Cafe Back In Black Beer Festival 2025, Beer#3. First fully black one, sticky-sweet and boozy, boozy-sweet taste and some coconut in aroma.

Can at home from trembling madness. Light hazed golden colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are citrus and yeasty. Some earthiness. Medium body.

On tap at Low Key Taproom Ashford. Near black beer. Thin beige head. Some dark malt and lime on aroma. Quite light in terms of malt. Lime hop finish. Not very bitter. Its quite lime exciting. Good enough.

Keg at Brewdog Lothian Road. Pours black with almost no head, gentle carbonation. Aromas of chocolate and biscuit. Taste is dark chocolate and more oaty biscuit. Does what it says on the tin.
Black colour with no real head and fairly flat. Some chocolate and oat. Light body.

Can from Caledonian Craft Beer Merchant. Hazy brown body with ruby highlights and a thin beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of cherries, toffee and liquorice. Flavour of cherry cola, caramel and sour cherry. Medium to full body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. An interesting and unusual barley wine.

Can from Caledonian Craft Beer Merchant. Golden body with a thin white head. No visible carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of grass, lemon and steel. Flavour of minerals and lemon. Medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. A touch sharp, but pretty good overall.
