Draft. Amber beer with a light cream colored head. Summer fruit aroma. Pine and summer fruit flavor with light grapefruit. Medium bodied. Nice bitterness. Pine and grapefruit linger. Bordering on IPA.

On tap. Clear golden with a creamy white head leaving laces. Sweetish malty nose. Medium body with sweet malts and fruit - perhaps some honey sweetness also - but also a whiff of phenols I believe. No bitterness as such. 080709

Tap. Pours with a black body and a tan head. Aroma is strongly hoppy with chocolate. Taste is chocolate, wood/earth and tons of hops. Creamy mouthfeel and light bubbles.

On tap. Pours with a big black body and a tan head. Aroma of espresso, coffee, leather and chocolate. Taste is alcohol, chocolate, leather, licorice, and coffee. Creamy mouthfeel, light bubbles. Solid, but the San Clemente Infamous destroys this!

On tap at Carlsbad. Pours with a tan head and an amber body. Aroma of a salad of hops, and citrus all over. Taste is hops, caramel, earth/dirt and grain. Light bubbles, and hides the alcohol really well. Great stuff.

From tap at the Carlsbad brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Light yeasty and grassy hops aroma. Flavour has light subdued peppery yeasty note. Bitter and towards dry yet with a light malty sweetness. Vague phenolic touch. Ends dry and yeasty spiced.

From tap at the Carlsbad brewpub. Pours dark brown and black with a small, tan and lasting creamy head. Hard roasted malty aroma. Flavour too is hardroasted, light coffeeish and vague dark chocolate flavoured too. Lasting roasted and dark malty flavoured into the far finish.

From tap at the Carlsbad brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is light caramelish and hoppy. Solid hops fruity flavoured, light heral to grassy touch and pinewood to grapefruity flavoured with a light leathery touch. Ends smooth bitter and fresh hoppy.
