Almost reads like a sugary coffee soda more than a beer. Strong, bright cascara acidity mixes with berry and chocolate notes, but the lactose comes on strong in the back end, adding a Coffee-Mate-ish vanilla sweetness coupled with roast and a lingering citrus-tinged fade. Fizzy carbonation doesn't lessen the soda comparisons, as does the quickly up-and-gone head. Not bad, but not my type of coffee beer.

12 oz can from Tavour, 3/21/20. Canned 1/13/20. #4 of this session where I'm consuming all 4 of these on my patio while isolating with the wife and kids. Dark brown color, thin foam of tan head, moderate lace. Roasted coffee, earth, and a little brown sugar. Probably the simplest, cleanest one of the 4. Coffee roast is the dominant component. Moderately sweet, creamy and a little tingly. Tasty overall, but maybe the simplicity after the other 4 makes me like it just a hint less. 7/4/7/4/15

12 oz can from Tavour, 3/21/20. Canned 1/21/20. Dark brown color, foamy thinner beige / tan head, light, spotty lace that drops down the glass. Roasted coffee with some molasses and maple sweetness. Lactose and light vanilla as well, with hints of brown sugar. Pretty nice. Falls between Cincinnati and Columbus sweetness wise. Interesting mix of all the different sweetness you get in various coffee roasts all in this one beer. Less creamy than Cincinnati, less bitterness than Columbus. Maybe a little too much going on, but still, enjoyable. 8/4/7/3/16

12 oz can from Tavour, 3/21/20. Canned 1/16/20. Dark brown color, foamy tan head, moderate lace. Roasted coffee, earth, and some semi-sweet chocolate. Some sweet vanilla and caramel notes on the finish. Slightly more fizzy, less creamy than the Cincinnati version I consumed directly before this one. Little less sweetness too, with some balancing bitterness. Pretty good overall, I like the flavor a little more, but the feel a little less. 8/4/8/3/16

Very good DIPA, bursting with juicy mandarin, berry, peach, pineapple, and lemon zest, followed by a mild grainy sweetness and slight bitter pine on the back end. Hints of caramel and grapefruit pop up as it warms. A tad boozy, but a nice pint nonetheless.

Sample at Daily Growler Powell during the Hoof Hearted Musk & Roller Blabe 3D Tapping + Kenny's Meat Wagon event on 09/06/2019. Pours a clear copper-gold color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Strings of lace. Aroma of coffee, malt and vanilla. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, vanilla and biscuit malt. The finish is sweet and creamy with a coffee aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at Eclipse Company Store as part of Ohio Brew Week. Slightly hazy pale orange-gold color with a medium bone white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of citrus, malt, vanilla and hops. Medium body with flavors of orange, vanilla, mild hops and malt. The finish is creamy with a dreamsicle aftertaste. Decent overall.
