Very good DIPA, bursting with juicy mandarin, berry, peach, pineapple, and lemon zest, followed by a mild grainy sweetness and slight bitter pine on the back end. Hints of caramel and grapefruit pop up as it warms. A tad boozy, but a nice pint nonetheless.

Sample at Daily Growler Powell during the Hoof Hearted Musk & Roller Blabe 3D Tapping + Kenny's Meat Wagon event on 09/06/2019. Pours a clear copper-gold color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Strings of lace. Aroma of coffee, malt and vanilla. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, vanilla and biscuit malt. The finish is sweet and creamy with a coffee aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at Eclipse Company Store as part of Ohio Brew Week. Slightly hazy pale orange-gold color with a medium bone white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of citrus, malt, vanilla and hops. Medium body with flavors of orange, vanilla, mild hops and malt. The finish is creamy with a dreamsicle aftertaste. Decent overall.

Drank as Knotty Brown, but a good beer is a good beer, no matter how many wineries threaten copyright infringement lawsuits. (Fuck you, Delicato Family Vineyards.) Straightforward classic American brown ale, starting with mild turbinado and cocoa notes before developing a lovely toasted pumpernickel middle and a woody, mildly bitter finish. Knotty Brown: the type of beer you wish your local brewery had on tap instead of seven milkshake IPAs, thirteen sours, and a stout brewed with lactose, Sno-Caps, and a seven-layer toasted pecan and apple butter groom's cake.

Sample from 2018 bottle at Streetside during That’s My Jam: A Fruited Beer Festival on 06/22/2019. Hazy reddish-orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of cherry, oak, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart cherry, oak, funky yeast, citrus and malt. The finish is tart and funky with a cherry aftertaste. Good beer overall.

So, I bought this thinking it would be a fine lager, but no, its just another hoppy bastardized beer. Hey, if you want IPA, get IPA; don't make another style an IPA, how straight up stupid ass. THis can pours very light pale. It has just a mild aroma of hops, so I guess there's still hope. Well, guess what, its bitter as all hell. Just like a bitter APA or even a mild IPA. Then, there is this astringent bitterness that stays in your mouth after each swig, terrible aftertaste. Yes, just another rude ass hoppy beer; how about we get over the everything hop thang for a change? FTH (F da hops) At least it does have some decent carbonation.
