Nice, slightly hazy bright orange coloured body with a gold and copper tint and a large, four centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pungent alcohol, peaches, yeast, wheat, curacao, sugar and spices. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong yeast and wheat flavour at first with curacao, spice (clove and coriander seed) and a bit of light fruitiness. Aftertaste shows some depth with a lot of wheat body, some earthy but pungent sugars and a little kick from yeast. Overall, a nice and slightly earthier and more bitter tripel than most, but works out fairly nicely. I sampled this 50 cL can purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 24-October-2012 for US$2.79 sampled at home in Washington on 05-February-2013.

Over sized tulip draft (~16 oz) at Bier Station in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed golden yellow orange with a well formed 1/2 inch light tan head. The aroma is a fresh blast of orange citrus, dank earthiness and a nice straw grassiness. Fresh all around. The taste is the nose, great balance between the orange citrus, the dank resinous earth and the straw and grass malt. The palate is light to medium bodied, nice gentle soft carbonation, and a dry mineral finish. As the beer warms, it shows a touch of sweetness in the after taste. Another nice beer from Tallgrass.

Bottle. Pours a hazy deep copper color. Nice 2 finger tanish head leaves lacing all the way down! Aroma is upfront caramel toffee malt. Taste is malty, resin-like hoppiness, and bitter grapefruit rind. A "Big" hoppy beer with a strong malt presence makes this a winner. My only wish; the hop characteristics were more pronounced in this one. I like malt too. but I like hops more!

Deep dark brown body with a bit of lighter brown noticeable at the bottom with a thick, luscious four centimetre tall nice light brown head. Aroma of sweet caramel, brown sugar, roasted malt, milk and a bit of nice earthiness. Medium-bodied; Assertive sweetness up front with milk, caramel, toffee and a little oatmeal noticeable, tucked away by some good roasty flavours, a hint of coffee and a bit of nuts. Aftertaste shows mostly sweetness with some milk flavours and the slightest hint of bitterness. Overall, a nice and relatively easy drinking stout - definitely on the sweeter side. I sampled this pint sized can, purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 24-October-2012 for US$2.49 sampled at home in Washington on 15-December-2012.

16oz can courtesy of a markwise bonus beer, thanks Mark. It pours mahogany brown with sixty second tan head. The mild aroma offers up some dark roasted malts and malt earthiness and maybe a sliver of malt sweetened black strap molasses. The taste is similar as I get malt sweetened to almost watery dark roasted maltiness giving way to a bit of coffee, earthy malts and faint molasses.

Can@Oliver Twist, Stockholm (old backlog). Amber colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, bready malty with some slight toffee and mild spicy notes. Flavour is sweet malts, some fruits and mild toffeeish notes. Nice balance with everything in it, nothing is standing out that much.
