can from Zipp’s pours hazy amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is big with citrus hops and bready malts. Flavor starts with a rich doughy malt backbone giving way to the hops, earthen and citrus leaving a pretty aggressive bitter finish that is dry. Really well done. I wish I would have picked up a 4-pack of this.

Deliciousness in a can. This is my summer beer for bringing to parties and camping. Already went through two 6 packs and I am very happy Tallgrass made this (however, its said to see the Kold get replaced). It’s an unfiltered wheat in a can for $7 locally a 6 pack. The beer pours with a thick muted golden body. The unfiltered aspect is apparent with its thick hazy color. The head sticks around for a while. While it is definitely an American Wheat there is a bit of banana to the beer, its thick and chewy for the style, and has a definite heft to it yet simultaneously it’s miraculously drinkable. I can say that there are many weaker, thinner, more watered down local wheat beers. There is just a little bit of sweetness to it but overall its light, refreshing, and crisp. This is turning into my conversion-beer. Everyone who has tried it has really enjoyed it. This is a great deal, and the Tallgrass guys make another solid beer. Very little love for this brewer.

16oz can. Murky, unfiltered, glowing orange-tan color. Big, frothy off-white head. A pretty respectable IPA, lots of citrus hop bitterness, some flowery earthy tones. Toasty, chewy malt backbone. Clean and fresh, above par for your typical American IPA. Not overbearing, but still rich and full-bodied. Quite nice.

16oz can pours a hazy, burnt orange with a creamy, lacing white head. Aromas of citrus fruit, earthy, a little dried orange, grassy, floral. Flavor is sweet, malty, flowers, oranges, some dried citrus peel, green leaves, a little pine. Medium bodied, bitter finish. While not remarkable, very drinkable.

This brew pours a clear orange-amber color with a thick and foamy off-white head that burns away slowly. Partial sheet of lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malt and hops. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops profile with notes of bready malt, caramel and citrus. The finish is hoppy with a citrus aftertaste. Above average overall.

16oz can. Burgundy-brown, looks filtered. Thin off-white head. Sweet toffee aroma, pretty mellow. A really nice, medium bodied brown ale. Sugary toffee tones, some fruity nut tones, and sharp balancing bitterness. A lot of flavor for a beer of it’s moderate strength. Smooth caramel tones. Excellent beer, has a nice English character not found in many American beers.

Can: Charcoal and coffee nose. Black, thin tan head. Sweet coffee flavor, strong vegetal component. Lasting coffee finish. Certainly a sweet stout, but there are some glaring flaws. Bad sample, but I think the recipe is probably solid. The boiled cabbage just doesn’t belong. Tainted and the Oasis ESB is better.

Can: Peppery hay nose with toffee undertones. Clear copper, medium yellow head, good lacing. Flavor is heavily dominated by tea, but clover honey is also prominent. Grain notes are occasionally detected. Lilly and marigold finish. Alcohol not noticeable. Traditional and authentic British aromas and flavors. Carbonation and strength is more of the American flavor. Quite an interesting interpretation of an ESB

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a lage white head. Aroma is a nice lemon zest with a creamy yeast. Flavor is again a nice lemon drop with some wheat and a decent yeast profile. A better than average wheat.

12 oz can purchased at Lukas in KCMO. Pour is a hazed darker golden with a well formed two inch off white head. Head falls with larger carbonation bubbles and decent lacing. Aroma is grain wheat, hint of citrus and very faint garlic / clove yeast. Fresh nose, through pretty subdued. The taste is mostly about the malted barley and wheat, grainy straw with a nice earthy body to it. The citrus is present though faint and in the back. Nice mineral shows in the aftertaste. Palate is medium bodied, unfiltered mouth feel with great body and a clean dry finish. Refreshing beer with nice character.
