Description
For us, good living means exploring – the opposite of “comfortable.” It’s not just about craft, but about questing, questioning, transforming “What If” into “Here’s How,” by way of an experiment so crazy, it just might work.
Exploration is the line from local beer maker to World-Class Brewer. It’s a pioneer impulse, and it sets the authentic, rural heartbeat of Southern Tier. It’s how we got here. And by the time others catch up, it’ll be why we’re already somewhere else.
From our wildly innovative founder, Phin DeMink, who’s still a daily inspiration, to the new generation of brewers, thinkers, and drinkers who share our pursuit of what’s next, we keep honing the creative edge of brewing discovery.
So this is an open invitation, to anyone who gives a damn about the difference between a well-crafted beer and a stunningly satisfying encounter with the new. Join us on the road less traveled.

Eye is clear light orange tinted on heavy pale color. Off white creamy head fades to pond scum after a while. Nose is rather aged hops, date on can says good till oct 2026, so I'm not sure here. Must be those 'fine' american hops, hehehh. Woe, first taste is rather heavy on the old hops feeling. Woodsy pine old fermented green grapefruit pulp. Difficult, lots of bitter bitterness, hah. Certainly hints of the terroir that the hops were grown in. Quite nasty rototiller. Co2 level is almost acceptable, to keep it from coating the inside of my pie hole. Middle is getting somewhat astringent and phenolic, sticks inside the palate. Ends like a biggy blasty bastard. Long terrible finish hangs around like an earworm. Whew. There, you have it. Can 3$ from JRs.

Taster at Tap It, in Indian Land, SC. It pours a pitch black color with virtually no head. Strong maple aroma. Very sweet maple flavor. I would call this a maple ale. I don't taste any pumpkin. but it's super sweet and super maple-flavored. Medium body. Light carbonation. Light bitterness. Slightly boozy in the finish.

Sweet, Cherry Syrup in Taste and Aftertaste. Warming Alcohol Heat. Smooth and Easy Going for ABV. Might Not Be For Everyone, But Pretty Good For What It Is... Enjoyed It. Recommended...

It's tasty! Can to glass...smells like a cider and a beer decided to mate. The offspring smell of cinnamon vanilla and the cidery apple essence.

12 oz can that was delivered by Half Time. I have my snifter from ABGB in Austin ready to go. Tab is pulled, I tilt the can. The view is a clear dark gold, tons of carbonation and a moderate off-white foam. I smell apricots, grain and a light hoppiness. The drink, well, it’s okay, not earth shaking. Throwback and that is good. Still with the apricots, bread, a small touch of hard candy, malt and a noticeable hops bitterness. There is a substantial mouthfeel sensation, somewhat full. One can do better or worse in the style than what I have here.
